"Henley Perfected" in "Whiskey"

So, I finally finished my Henley Perfected from Interweave Knits magazine. I love, love, loved the Reynolds Whiskey in this pattern. However, even though I got gauge the sweater is a little snug. I'd prefer atleast a half inch of ease all the way around. I don't wear sweaters unless I wear a tshirt or a camisole underneath so the itchiness of Whiskey won't bother me. If you're thinking of doing Henley Perfected in Whiskey I suggest you take into account the "itch" factor. The color is Tobacco and is just lovely in the light. I don't know if you can see it well enough here. I finally sent off my finished pattern to Cast On magazine. I pray pray pray there are NO mistakes in it. I guess we'll see. I did tell you I'd post the free pattern for my eye patch. I will get around to that soon. I have been busy refinishing old furniture and doing the usual spring time sprucing up around here. Isn't spring great? With the help of some great new Hawaian coffee my husband ordered everything is shaping up nicely. :-) My next big tackle is exams this week. Bleh.

It looks beautiful. I cant wear any itchy wool, let alone knit with it. Alpaca even makes me sneeze and itch so I never knit with them anymore if I can help it.

The sweater is lovely, and looks quite nice on you.

I went to Hawaii with my folks as a high school graduation present (many moons ago). I wasn't even a coffee drinker yet when I went, but I got totally hooked on their Kona coffee.

For years, Denny's served it, but not anymore.

Hee, hee being challenged in the knitting dept as in no coordination with those needles I thought from the title I'd see a whiskey vat with yarn being soaked/perfected in it :0)
You are talented!

I'm so surprised that noone has mentioned the underparts of the sleeves.....how I kept them plain. I really am glad I did this.I like the way it joins to the plain lower half of the sleeve. :-) It really wasn't a boo boo.

Beautiful job! I really wanted to knit this sweater for a while, but saw a bunch of versions knit up that I wasn't too pleased with. Yours has me reconsidering this pattern.
