Thanks Mason -Dixon Ladies

I was given a beautiful set of dining room chairs by my neighbor. One man's (or woman's in this case) trash is another man's treasure. Right? So I wanted to knit her something quick and easy to say thank you. I had wanted to knit the ballband dishcloths from Mason-Dixon Knitting for a while now. I knit her three and gave her a bar of all purpose hand-made soap (made by a friend). Then I started knitting some for myself. Now I have the pattern memorized along with my favorite sock pattern. I think I can knit these in my sleep now. Ha. :-)

In addition to that I have been totally into this today. I want to finish my window box maybe with somethings from the sewing and gardening sections.

Very nice dishcloths - and very nice of you to make them for your neighbor!

Thanks for stopping by by blog! I love the dishcloth idea, and it's my go-to gift! Sometimes I add a flour sacking drying towel that I've hand-embroidered on the edges, but I haven't had that much time lately for those types of things!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love Grace's Shawl (lovingcomfortknits.blogspot.com)as well. She does the most beautiful work and I enjoyed hand-painting the yarn for her.

Take care and happy knitting!
Jennifer

... wouldn't it be great if we really *could* knit dishcloths in our sleep?

Or the really complicated multi-stranded colorwork or intarsia or mega-cabled sweaters. Sometimes, I wouldn't mind waking up and finding some of *that* finished (not that I have much started)!

I think I knit sometimes in my dreams. Yes, and sometimes I dream about a design I'm trying to create. Ha.

What a thoughtful reciprocal gift idea! I have a couple of neighbors who are always gifting us with goodies from their gardens in the summer. I never know what to give back to them, yet do want to give them something. I'm stockpiling knit dishcloths and scrubbies now. I think I'll nab your idea and wrap them with a bar of natural soap, maybe tied with twine or raffia. I'll have them ready when the gardens start producing! ;-)

You asked me on my blog what kind of dog Pepper is. He's half poodle and half doxie. He has a poodle head and a doxie body. ;-)

I just love hand knit dishcloths. They spoil you for the store bought, don't they. Yours look great -- love the colors!

It's always nice to say thank you with a knitted dishcloth. BTW I think there is not weird way to knit or purl. If it works for you do it!

It is better than a thank you card...I think. Someone on Ravelry said I knit continental style backwards. It doesn't bother me. I'm a leftie...but I doubt I could learn another way as fast as I knit this way. :-)
